Get involved

Volunteer

You can volunteer to support a Territories group.

Volunteers help the artist leading the workshop sessions to set up and clear away. They also get to take part in the workshops alongside the participants, helping everyone to get involved.

Each volunteer is allocated a group to work with, so you will need to be able to give about 3 hours of your time each week for around 6 weeks.

If you are interested in working in community arts, this is a great way to gain experience.

Send your CV to the Volunteers Manager:  Fiona Burton  fiona.burton@ymt.org.uk

Become a Sustainable Partner

Community art projects cost money.

Our partners have said that they are willing to apply for additional funding. We work with our partners to put in bids to government, independant and charitable organisations.

At a special event in February 2009, our partners drew up a list of 'Top Tips for Fundraising.'

Top Tips for Fundraising

  1. Plan carefully and be clear about your aims and objectives. What do you want to do and why do you want to do it?
  2. Shortlist funders whose aims and objectives match your plan. Remember to use existing schemes and staff where possible.
  3. Gather supporting evidence and consider funding agendas. Does your project fit the wider aims of your organisation? Can you draw on similar, successful past projects to demonstrate to funders that you can meet your aims?
  4. Prepare the bid and get colleagues to proof read it.
  5. Check, check and treble check. And keep trying!
